Every day I wake up 2 hours before my children for my sanity. There was a time when I was, let's say less disciplined, and let 9:00 find me under a mound of quilts with small children jumping my my head reluctant to attack the day and more likely to attack someone.

But, homeschooling had taught me much. First of all being personal space is a precious commodity.

Now I understand the meaning of a-l-o-n-e t-i-m-e. Time without the demands of motherhood, time to relax and read, time to pray and journal, time to enjoy the stillness of the day ALONE.

By the time I hear feet on the stairs I am ready. Ready to be joyful, fun, calm, relaxed, and peaceful.

peach tea, peanut butter toast, and a bible who knew inner peace was that easy?
